iTech will be hosting the the Hour of Code this week. This event takes place each year during Computer Science Education Week. The 2017 Computer Science Education Week will be December 4-10. On Friday, December 8, our students will participate in this event. Come-by and enjoy!
Today, November 21, 2017, 100 Families fed “Happy Thanksgiving” from the Faculty & Staff at iTech @ Thomas A. Edison Educational Center. Faculty and Staff helped with the distribution of turkeys and other supplies to 100 iTech families.
Today, November 17, 2017 Dr. Diana K. Ter-Ghazaryan, Lecturer, Director of Geospatial Technology Program and Director of Undergraduate Studies from the University of Miami and Dr. Joseph J. Kerski, GISP and Education Manager from ESRI visited iTech's GIS Academy for a day of demonstration and GIS applications. Students enjoyed first-hand the different applications that GIS has to offer.
Patrick Gilles from the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) meet with students from the GIS Academy and spoke on how GIS is being used by NOAA. Field trip coming soon! Marilyn Stephens, Data Dissemination Specialist, from the United States Census Bureau met with GIS students on developing projects that will benefit the local community.
